He and his wife Millie now live in Rockford and enjoy spending time with their son and daughter- in-law and their grandsons. Ron over the years has been busy in different pastoral positions and currently teaches an adult Sunday school class at Rockford’s First Assembly. Ron is now busy full-time at Radio 91, as he has been since we began in 1988. Ron helped start our sister station "101QFL" back in 1974. He is the co-host of “The Morning Edition” and heads-up many of Radio 91’s exciting tours. On the side, Ron is an active performer of "Gospel Magic”. CINDY SWANSON News Director & Morning Show Co-Host On-Air: Weekday Mornings Born: Springfield, MO Email: gnews@radio91.com Cindy grew up as part of a missionary family living in Texas, Louisiana and in the foreign country of Lebanon. She then transplanted up north with her husband, Doug and their three children, Justin, Elizabeth and Jonathan. She and her family are active at Berean Baptist Church in Rockford. Reading and traveling are two of Cindy's favorite pastimes along with spending time with her family. Cindy has been with our radio ministry since 1981. You can hear her weekday mornings on "The Morning Edition" and with Radio 91 "News at Noon". She brings you news from a Christian perspective. Meeting listeners at remote broadcasts, concerts and church/community functions continues to be the highlight of her experience at Radio 91. Her family consists of her wonderful husband, Jerry, 4 daughters, 1 son, their spouses and as of summer '08 - 9 grandchildren. As Charmel says, they are blessed beyond reason! A favorite verse from God's Word is, “O, magnify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together.” Psalm 34:3 JOHN TALLACKSEN Weekend Personality On-Air: 5:00am-10:00am Saturday mornings - Gospel Country 5:00am - 8:00am Sunday Mornings - Sunday Morning Praise Born: Rockford, Illinois Email: gcountry@radio91.com Since going on the air in 1988, Radio 91 has been the station of choice for John.  He has always enjoyed listening to the various programs, especially Gospel Country.  John had no idea before August of 2005 that he would ever be a part of the Radio 91 team, let alone hosting his own show!  But, God made it very clear that he would be doing exactly that starting in November of 2005.  John is both humbled and honored to be a part of this radio team.  His love for Southern Gospel music and knowledge of the singers makes him a perfect fit for Gospel Country.  It's a match literally made in Heaven and John gives all the glory to God. John and his wife, Sandy, have four children along with one son-in-law and two beautiful grandchildren.  When not at the station, you might find him singing solos or with Professions of Faith, running sound for The Assemblymen, performing Christian clowning, ushering for the Rockford Symphony Orchestra, or attending a Southern Gospel concert somewhere. Yes, he does have a full-time job, too! RON OLTMANNS Weekend Personality On-Air: Saturday & Sunday Evenings Born: Oregon, Illinois Email: home@radio91.com Ron has lived his entire life in beautiful Oregon, IL. He has had a life long love for radio. Ron has worked for the Christian Communication Network since 1990, starting as a weekend announcer for our sister station WQFL, and moving to Radio 91 to become the Saturday evening host in July of 1998. Ron is a member of the Leaf River Baptist Church, were he serves as a Deacon Sunday School Teacher and on various music projects. Ron calls Oregon home with his wife, Felicia and son, Steven. His daughter, Beth and son-in-law, Brian recently made him a grandfather for the first time with a beautiful granddaughter, Evelyn Madison. His greatest joy is to be part of the ministry of Radio 91 and to reach out to the listeners with music and programming. We can do all to the glory of God and have fun doing it! He is married to Ruth (whom he met at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina) and has two daughters. Paul is a graduate of John Brown University, Northern Illinois University and Argosy University. He currently teaches various courses at Judson College, Concordia University and Cardinal Stritch University. Paul has served on the board of directors at the Winnebago County Schools Credit Union and as a trustee and treasurer of the North Suburban Library District. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Winnebago / Boone County Genealogical Society and the Northern Winnebago Kiwanis. Paul is also an active member of First Evangelical Free Church in Rockford, IL. top
